Timeless Design for Everyday Living
At House of Milligan, interior design is about creating homes that feel calm, characterful and considered - spaces that work beautifully for everyday life and continue to feel right for years to come.
I design with flow, functionality and warmth at the forefront, shaping interiors that reflect your personal style while supporting how you actually live. The focus is on timeless choices over trends, practical layouts, and materials and finishes chosen with care - prioritising quality, longevity and a healthier home environment wherever possible.
Whether you’re refreshing a single room or reworking your home more fully, I offer clear, considered design guidance that makes the process feel simple and stress-free. Always mindful of budget, thoughtful in approach, and centred around creating a home that feels both beautiful and genuinely liveable.

Spaces I’ve Transformed
“I am absolutely blown away by the work from House of Milligan on my bathroom refurb. What was once a dark and uninspiring space is now completely unrecognisable.
From the very beginning, Posie took the time to understand what I wanted, even when I wasn’t sure myself. She guided me through every step, from layout ideas to choosing the perfect tiles, fixtures, and finishes. Her eye for detail and ability to create a cohesive, beautiful design is unmatched.
The end result is beyond anything I could have imagined. Biggest thank you to Posie and House of Milligan!”

FAQ’s
-
Yes. In-person design support is available through my Bespoke Interior Design Package, which includes a face-to-face consultation and tailored design proposal. This service is available to clients within approximately a one-hour drive of Haslemere.
For local clients booking the Virtual Package, there is also the option to upgrade the initial online consultation to an in-home visit.
-
Absolutely. While my packages are designed to suit most projects, every home is different. If your project doesn’t quite fit one of the outlined options, I’m happy to discuss a tailored approach following an initial consultation.
-
We’ll start with a relaxed video call to chat through your style, space, and vision. I’ll then create a moodboard and a curated shopping list tailored to your needs. We’ll have a final call where I’ll present the design, and we’ll tweak and refine the details together to make sure you are really happy. After that, I’ll make the final changes and send over your completed design package.
-
Timelines vary depending on the package and scope of work.
As a guide:
Virtual projects typically take 2–4 weeks from consultation to final review
Bespoke projects are quoted individually and timelines are agreed at the proposal stage
I’ll always give you a clear idea of timing before we begin.
-
Yes. Budget is always discussed early in the process and design decisions are made with this in mind. I focus on thoughtful, practical solutions and prioritise spending where it will have the most impact, without compromising on the overall feel of the space.
-
Photos, measurements and any inspiration images you love. A Pinterest board is great but totally optional – even a few screenshots can help me understand your style.
I’ll guide you through anything else needed, so there’s no pressure to have everything perfectly prepared.
-
Yes. Kitchen design support is available as an add-on to the Virtual Package or as part of a Bespoke project. This includes layout guidance and collaboration with your chosen kitchen supplier (such as Howdens or Magnet) to help you get the most from the space.
-
All packages include time for refinement, and I’m happy to make reasonable adjustments to ensure the design feels right. Additional revisions or changes outside the agreed scope can be accommodated and may be charged at my hourly rate.
-
This does happen from time to time. Where possible, I’ll suggest suitable alternatives that maintain the overall look and feel of the design. If significant reworking is required, this can be discussed and handled efficiently.
-
Yes.
Virtual consultations are £50 and are deducted from the overall package price
Bespoke face-to-face consultations are £85 (also deducted from the overall fee)
Local virtual clients may upgrade to an in-home consultation for £95 (£50 deducted from the overall package price)

Payment terms vary by package and are always explained upfront.

Bespoke projects are quoted individually following the initial consultation, with payment stages agreed and confirmed before work begins. A consultation fee is payable in advance of the face-to-face meeting and is deducted from the final project fee if you choose to proceed.
Hourly design support is charged in advance of the scheduled call.
